  1. Feb 27,  · In concert, FGTH played live with two extra musicians (one of them being the brother of bassist Mark O'Toole) and backing tapes, consisting of various sound effects (i.e. the sound inside the "pleasuredome"), synths and sequencers, basically a lot of the synthesized orchestrated sounds.
  2. Got the Music On Vinyl remaster. The sound is rich and gorgeous and if you like this album I can't see you being disappointed. Having said that, I've never heard the full album before listening to it all today, and while the 4 singles are good songs (except I don't think much of the edit of Two Tribes on the album.. the strongest track on the album having a short treatment was a fail for.

  4. "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" is the title track to the debut album by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. The lyrics of the song were inspired by the poem Kubla Khan by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. In March , the album track was substantially abridged and remixed for release as the group's "fourth" UK single, however it only reached number 2 and /5(K).
  5. Aug 09,  · Welcome To The Pleasuredome, track original de Subido por Yeko. "The Fruitness Mix" ha sido extraido del Black & Jones Present SO8OS [SOEIGHTIES] Vol. 4, CD .
  6. The sound is not shrill in that 80's way. I was amazed at how warm it sounds, how detailed, how "alive." It's a much more immersive experience. Every sound is rendered, sounds I had never noticed before. The bird sounds in the title track, all the little intricacies, are clearly heard without the volume being cranked up/5(98).
  7. Even with period-piece tunes like "Two Tribes," Welcome to the Pleasuredome has held up well after 30+ years, thanks to the ZTT production. I still prefer Frankie's version of "Born to Run" over the Springsteen original/5(99).
  8. This is the second of a two CD s electro-synth pop compilation, or Level 2 as they like to call it. The first one has already popped up on the randometer a few months back. Its much the same as the first, a brilliant 2 CD, 40 song selection of the toppest of the poppest .
  9. Aug 28,  · By February , their fourth single Welcome to the Pleasuredome had stalled at No 2. There was an expensive, anticlimactic second album, Liverpool, in , followed by the band’s own.
